CHAPMAN RETURNS TO THE AMAZON
Billy Chapman, Jr., pioneer of peacock bass fishing in the Amazon Basin and owner of Anglers Inn El Salto and Anglers Inn Mateos in Mexico, will start his latest South American outfitting venture in 2010.
By partnering with an existing outfitter in the area, Chapman will arrange for groups of anglers to stay onboard a luxury 100-foot floating yacht that will serve as the mother ship for his Amazonian operation. The boat will voyage up and down the Amazon River and its major tributaries to keep up the hottest fishing action. From the mother ship, anglers will depart daily in small boats with local guides for their exciting fishing adventure.
As he has been doing for 35 years at various lodges in several countries, Chapman will do everything first class and keep service to his customers as a top priority. In the 1980s, he opened the first two 5-Star peacock bass lodges in the Amazon territory and has been making periodic trips to the area ever since.
“I look forward to returning to the Amazon on a regular basis,” Chapman said. “It’s an amazing fishery. Besides catching peacocks, we’ll fish for other indigenous species, whatever our clients want to catch. We’re here to make their dreams come true.”
Chapman takes off for his next Amazon adventure from Jan. 27-Feb. 4, 2010. He can only bring a group of up to 12 anglers -- so reserve your spot now! For booking your trip with Billy, call 800-GOTA-FISH (800-468-2347).
