 ·     We opened a business center so our guests can keep in touch with their customers and family. We now offer wireless internet service and new loaner laptops.

Anglers fishing at Lake El Salto or Mateos might want to extend their trip a couple days to take advantage of our “Sweet and Salt” specials. Using their same bass rods, anglers can catch corvina, jacks, magnificent roosterfish, snook, yellowtail snapper, sea bass and other saltwater species off Mazatlan. For the most action, go with the “Sweet, Repeat” adventure, combining your El Salto trophy bass trip by sampling the incredible numbers, and some big bass, that Lake Mateos yields.

“Once again, El Salto and Anglers Inn prove the best fishing value on the continent,” said Bruce Holt, Public Relations Director of G. Loomis Inc. about his trip last season. “There just aren’t that many choices in the world where anglers can expect a great fishing experience that can, at times, only be surpassed by the unbelievable attention to detail by the Anglers Inn staff. After we had the best jig bite I’ve ever experienced on El Salto, the saltwater fishing off the coast was way better than I ever expected. This was one of those legendary trips that people talk about for years.”

Families and friends can also combine their fishing adventure with a relaxing vacation at one of the Pueblo Bonito Resorts. Anglers Inn is the exclusive Sportsman’s Club for the Pueblo Bonito premier beach resorts in Cabo San Lucas and Mazatlan. Non-fishing spouses can enjoy luxury accommodations on some of the most scenic beaches in the world. When they want to visit the lake, we can transport them to the lodge.

CROSSING THE BORDER

The U.S. government now requires Americans traveling abroad to carry passports. Previously, Americans could travel to Mexico and return with just a driver’s license and birth certificate or voter’s card to prove their citizenship. That’s no longer the case. To apply for a U.S. passport, follow the instructions put out by the U.S. State Department at www.travel.state.gov/passport/passport_1738.html

On the south side of the border, visitors will need to show their passports to obtain Mexican visas before entering the country. Minors crossing the border with one parent must present a notarized permission letter signed by the other parent.
