Before Your Trip to Anglers Inn El Salto

Prepare yourself for the trip of a lifetime, visiting a world-class fishery just a few short hours from the United States, although it feels like a world apart. Over the course of three decades, El Salto’s strict management plan has kept it fertile and prolific, pumping out big bass that the others can only dream about, and the beauty of visiting Anglers Inn is that you don’t need to give up any of the comforts of home to experience it. We take all of the hassle out of travel, and treat every guest like a VIP, whether you’re a top bass pro, a titan of business, or a father and son looking for a weekend getaway. That’s the reason that over 80 percent of our guests are repeat customers – they come for a bucket list trip and end up making it an annual affair.

What to Expect

At Anglers Inn you will be treated like a king while fishing for Florida-strain bass. We have had more than 28 years experience taking care of our visitors. Be assured our accommodations, equipment and staff are the highest quality. Upon your arrival at your gateway city, you will be met by a bilingual Anglers Inn representative at the airport and transported to the lodge. Beer, bottled water and soft drinks will be on board for the ride.

Immigration

You will need a passport and a valid photo ID in order to obtain your tourist visa from the Mexican officials or your airline before entering Mexico. If traveling with a minor under 18 years of age, you must have a notarized permission letter signed by the other parent.

Climate

From November through March the mornings are cool, requiring a light jacket or sweatshirt. By midday, the temperature rises to the high 70’s or low 80’s. After March the midday temperature will rise to the high 80’s through the mid-90s. It is still cool enough on the lake in the morning to require a light jacket. We have air-conditioned rooms and dining rooms for your comfort.

Insect Repellent & Sunscreen

Keep it on at all time when outdoors. Now and then we have a “No-See-Um” problem! Any kind of repellent works. Also be sure to bring the sun screen of your choice.

Water & Ice

Purified bottled water, bottled exclusively for Anglers Inn, is provided in boats and at lodge facilities.

Boats & Equipment

All of our guests will be fishing out of Tracker boats equipped, 48 h.p. Yamaha, trolling motors, swivel seats and Coast Guard approved life jackets.
